References

A special feature of conceptcms are so called references, a special kind of documents. A reference is a kind of an instance or copy of another document, and this references keeps the relation to this original document. A reference is not an independent document, all content can exclusively be edited on the level of the referenced original document.

For references, you can choose a deviant HTML template, so that display and functionality of the reference can be different from the original document. For overviews, in addition certain filters can be applied.

This way, the same content can be used and displayed at different places, but administration of the content itself takes place centrally in one orignal document. In some cases, a good alternative for references is a search, as the search can also retrieve and display content from different documents (see Search CE).
